Dany Laferriere
Principal
Dany Laferriere is a bilingual communications professional with more than 30 years of experience in the fields of strategic & operational communications planning and delivery; reputation management; media relations; employee communications; disclosure communications; community and key stakeholder engagement; and issues and crisis management.
He started his career as a military public affairs officer, serving Canada for 20 years at home and in various hot spots around the world. During his time in uniform, Dany provided communications support and strategic counsel to senior Canadian and foreign military commanders, elected officials, bureaucrats and diplomats in Canada and around the world.
Dany spent the next 15 years with Suncor Energy where he ultimately led the team that provided communications advice and support to executive leaders in charge of all operations in Canada and abroad, while also leading the development and implementation of the corporate-wide employee communications strategy.

Dany holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from the Royal Military College of Canada, a certificate in Public Affairs Management from Ryerson University and completed several leadership courses and qualifications including the Harvard In-Residence Leadership Program. Dany was named one of Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40 by Avenue Magazine in 2009.
